A fire caused by a collision on the A30 near Exeter has caused long delays this afternoon.
Ambulance and fire crews were called to the incident on the A30 between Fingle Glen and Alphington at 3:34pm today.
Police confirmed a van had hit the central reservation which then caused a fire in the bushes near the incident.
The road was shut Exeter bound while crews dealt with the incident.
The barrier and vehicle were badly damaged but the driver is not believed to have suffered any injuries.
The road remained closed at 5pm.
