A MAN from California has been remanded in custody by magistrates in Exeter charged with child abduction, grooming and sexual activity with a child.
David Telles, 38, from California, USA, appeared for the first time at Exeter Magistrates Court today.
He was arrested and taken to Heavitree Road police station for questioning after a missing teenage girl was found safe and well in Clyst Honiton, near Exeter on Tuesday.
Police had launched an investigation after the girl disappeared from her home in Cornwall on Monday.
He was remanded in custody and will appear next at Exeter Crown Court on July 10.
