Devon residents have been left 'disgusted' after a dog poo bin next to a children's park was left to overflow.
Council workmen failed to collect the waste from the bin in Jubilee Parish Field, Willand.
Dog walkers, who had cleaned up after their pets, had resorted to leaving the bags of mess on the ground by the bin as it was too full to pile any more in.
One unhappy villager took to social media site Facebook to vent his anger, putting on a photo of the overflowing bin.
People who commented on the picture called the pile of poo disgusting and raised concerns over the bin attracting rats to the area.
MDDC's waste management team cleared the bin after the photo was uploaded to Facebook on Tuesday.
A spokesman for the district authority said: "This particular bin was cleared earlier in the week and was also due to be cleared again on Friday as per its usual collection schedule."
