New pictures and a video have emerged of yesterday's New Fathers For Justice protest on Exeter Cathedral.
Two protestors who climbed to the roof of Exeter Cathedral on Sunday were removed from the scene by police just after 4pm.
Emergency services were called to the scene after protesters, armed with a banner and food and drink, were spotted after climbing up the west front of the Cathedral and onto the balcony for their Fathers' day protest against the Family Court system.
They unfurled a banner which read Family Courts are evil before one abseiled down the front of building unveiling a banner reading 'pray for children'.
Initially the protesters said in a statement that they were prepared to stay there 'for days'.
Both men were dressed as superheroes and crowds gathered on the Cathedral Green to watch the scene unfold.
Police took the second protestor away at roughly 4pm.
Spokesman for the group, Rich Adams, said that two teenage boys had tried to join the protest by scaling scaffolding at the Cathedral but were stopped by the police.
The Legal Sunday Service was due to be held in the Cathedral at 11.30am followed by a reception at the Exeter Corn Exchange. This annual event brings together judges, civil authorities and all concerned with the administration of justice in Devon.
Mr Adams said that the stunt had been three months in the planning adding: "We are campaigning for a change in the law so fathers are afforded.
The protests are reported to have arranged a meeting with the Dean in the future over their concerns.
