At 1.17am today, two appliances from Exeter and Topsham attended St Andrews Road, Exwick, Exeter, with the Specialist Rescue Tender from Bridgwater.
The crew from Exeter quickly located a man in a flooded water course. They used an extension ladder to recover him from the water. The casualty was suffering from hypothermia and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
