Police are investigating after a bus light on a busy road in Plymouth.
The First Devon bus did not have any passengers on it when a fire began in the city centre at around 2.30pm on Sunday.
The bus was parked in Exeter Street, near Bretonside bus station, with only the driver on board.
As this picture shows, flames could be seen from the back of the bus and smoke bellowed over a large area.
The driver was unhurt and no-one else was injured in the incident.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "The bus had stopped in the bus bay and another bus pulled up behind it and saw sparks coming out of the engine compartment. Police closed the road, it would have been a bit hazardous."
