Torquay United and Bristol Rovers are both after the signature of former Exeter striker Jamie Cureton.
Torquay's boss Hargreaves is after the forward as he starts the job of rebuilding the Plainmoor squad after relegation.
Having been released by Cheltenham Town 38-year-old Cureton is thought to be wanted by Bristol Rovers and Torquay United. Both clubs having just been relegated to the Conference are keen to bounce straight back.
The Bristol-born marksman – he's scored 253 goals during a 20-year senior career – has been linked with a return to his old club Rovers, in the wake of their own shock relegation to the Conference.
Even at 38, Cureton is determined to keep on playing, and he's a free agent after scoring eleven goals from only 24 starts for League Two Cheltenham Town last season.
He said: "I have loads of targets and I am nowhere near finished yet. I feel I finished the season well and started to show what I was all about, so I don't think I struggled for fitness.
"I am used to my age being brought up and I know I need to have a good year every year, but I am looking forward to a new challenge now."
"I have not spoken to Bristol Rovers and I am absolutely gutted they went down this season. It would be a hell of an achievement to score the goals to get them back into the Football League if it came off and it would obviously be great to be a part of that.
"Ideally I'd like to stay in the Football League, but it has to be the right club, which suits my style of play. Teams will see the best of me when they are attacking a lot and I won't sign for a club for the sake of it."
