With St Martins having wrapped up the Premier Division title, the race for second place goes on and it is advantage to Tiverton Town after consecutive 1-0 victories against Hatherleigh Town and Seaton Town. Danny Baily was their scorer at Seaton and the Yellows will be runners up if they avoid defeat in their return match with Hatherleigh at Cullompton on Thursday evening. Newtown's hopes all-but disappeared when held 2-2 by Chard Town. Worried Topsham slipped to the bottom after losing 3-1 to Beer Albion, Alex Gibbins scoring their only goal. Clyst Valley's season ended with a 4-1 defeat to the University. Heavitree are probably safe after a 3-2 win against Feniton, with goals from Scott Jones and Ben Smith to add to an own goal seeing off the East Devon outfit. Bow AAC need to win their last match at the University on Friday evening in Division One to overtake Sidbury for second place. However, the relegation issue was resolved as Cullompton lost their last match 4-1 to Witheridge while Tipton St John slumped to a 5-1 defeat at the University. Both Cully and Tipton finish in the bottom three. Dolphin are Division Two champions but they were given a major fright by struggling Clyst Valley. They were a goal down after 70 minutes after Jordan Harris netted but managed to equalise through Danny Hall and he then scored the winner deep into injury-time, after Dolphin had a man sent off. Exwick Villa briefly took over top spot on goal difference after winning their last match 2-1 at Colyton. Pinhoe, beaten 7-3 at Culm Utd, are resigned to a bottom-three finish, but Clyst Valley could yet escape if they beat Culm on Friday night. That would drop Crediton into the relegation zone. The University are champions of Division Three after a dramatic 3-2 win at Chulmleigh, which was a massive blow to long-time leaders Upottery, who are runners up. Exmouth Town are Division Four champions after their 2-2 draw with the University. Lapford won the first trophy in the club's 100-year history as they were crowned Division Five champions after a 4-1 winner-takes-all victory against Langdon. Harry Leach, Guy Hoskins, Jack Lee and Dom Stapleton scored for Lapford. Langdon finished third as St Martins won their last game 4-0 against Dunkeswell Rovers to finish second. Otterton went level with Division Six leaders Uplowman Athletic with a 3-1 win against Newton St Cyres, with Charles Coplestone, Kev Pitt and Si Tuley scoring. There was major relief at Ottery St Mary when their 2-0 win against Exwick Village saved them from relegation, but Exwick could now go down with East Budleigh, who were beaten 4-2 at home by Starcross. The one outstanding issue in Division Eight was resolved with Elmore winning 5-1 at Sandford to finish third. Langdon won the Geary Cup at Crediton last Thursday with a 1-0 victory against Alphington, and on the same night Sidbury reached the final of the Grandisson Cup by beating Tipton St John 2-1. Feniton are through to the Golesworthy Cup final after beating Kentisbeare 1-0 on Monday. Jamie Doidge was the scorer. Feniton meet Sidbury on Thursday night in the Morrison Bell Cup semi-final, with Upottery awaiting the winners after they shocked Budleigh Salterton 3-2. The Golesworthy, Grandisson and Morrison Bell cup finals are due to be played in that order at Ottery on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, but could be swapped around. Feniton have requested a new date as they have the East Devon Senior Cup final against St Martins next Thursday, and Upottery too may request a change as they could face two finals inside two days.
