Thousands of people will take to the streets in the city centre today to take part in Exeter Pride 2014.
The parade is the biggest celebration of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities in the region.
Lord Mayor Councillor Rachel Lyons will start the largest rainbow flag parade the city has seen as part of Exeter Pride at noon on Saturday.
Organisers say it will be the biggest event to date, with more than 2,000 people expected to take part in the parade in Exeter's High Street and attend activities after the parade at Exeter Phoenix in Gandy Street. Community groups, firefighters, police, students, trade union groups and individuals will be among those taking part in the parade.
Roads will be closed along the route of the parade. It will start at Exeter City's Fountain Centre car park at St James's Park.
Events and activities at Exeter Phoenix will be family-friendly, and include activities for children, young people and adults.
Pictures and reports to follow.
