A motorcyclist has been rescued after falling down a 40ft ravine near Exeter.
Fire crews were called to Chineway Hill, Ottery St Mary at 17:28 today after reports of a collision.
Fire engines from Honiton, the specialist rescue team and the ambulance service were sent to the scene.
On arrival crews confirmed a motorcyclist had an accident and ended up 40 foot down a deep ravine.
They got to work using SHACS and lines to rescue the man along with the HART team from the ambulance service.
Crews left duty of care the casualty with the ambulance.
