Accrington Stanley's quaint Crown Ground headquarters may not win and best stadium awards in League Two, but it will forever hold special place in the heart of Exeter City's Tom Nichols. The 20-year-old was making only his third league start for the Grecians since his debut at Sheffield Wednesday in May 2011 and he marked it by scoring twice as the Grecians ended an eight-match winless run with a 32 success in wet and windy Lancashire. "It's my new favourite ground!" Nichols quipped. "It's not the best ground in the world, but football is football at the end of the day, I enjoy playing anywhere. "I am delighted to score a couple of goals, but more importantly, that we got the win. We hadn't won for a while, but after a couple of draws, hopefully we can go on a run now." On his goals, Nichols added: "The first one, I saw Jordy (Moore-Taylor) was going to get a free header, so I ran forward. The other centre halves didn't read it as well and I saw the goalkeeper came off his line. "I thought I would take it round him, but he stopped and I thought this is my chance. So I used my left-foot swinger and in it goes. "For the second one, there were a couple of passes and Gowzer flicked it through. The goalie showed me that side and then gambled the other way, so I just passed it into the corner. Thank you very much!"
