CREEDY LAKES Crediton's Mike Izzard took the best bag for last week when he recorded an impressive total of 13 fish from the shelf swim on the far bank. All his catches were common carp, with a best tipping the scales to 19lbs 6oz. In total, Izzard's bag weighed just over 205lbs. Newton Abbot's Lee Aggett fished the far bank mid swim and, using maggot, tempted five common carp. Exeter angler Darren Passmore fished the right-hand bank and landed a 15lbs common carp. The best catch from the top lake was by Crediton angler Aaron Davey, who tempted a common carp which weighed around 20lbs. SOUTHVIEW FARM Stephen Hird had 14 carp on a session and nine on another weighing up to 8lbs 80z on willow pool with legered sweetcorn. There have been some good bags of silver fish too, with roach around the 4-6oz mark with odd specimens to over 1lb. Perch up to 2lbs have also been caught with bags of more than 10lbs not uncommon. Michael Hird had a bag around the 15lb mark including several roach and perch plus three carp to 8lbs on pole-fished maggot.
