The decision on if Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale will leave the club for Porstmouth is set to be announced this afternoon.
Portsmouth will announce their new manager at a press conference at 2pm today , local media have reported the club will choose ex-Crawley manager Richie Barker for the job.
Barker is odds on favourite for the job at 1/12 with Tisdale rising to 12/1 from 4/1 earlier this month.
Exeter City confirmed Tisdale has been interviewed for the job last week:
"We can confirm that Portsmouth Football Club approached Exeter City to ask permission to speak to Paul Tisdale about the vacant management position at Fratton Park.
"As on previous occasions that approaches have been made to speak to Paul, permission was granted. Paul met with Portsmouth on Tuesday for initial discussions.
"Exeter City Football Club prides itself on not standing in the way of staff, players and management when opportunities arise away from the club.
"Given Paul's excellent track-record at Exeter City, we are always unsurprised to receive approaches from other clubs for his services. We are also delighted with the mutual loyalty between Paul and the club during his seven-and-a-half years at St James Park."
Paul Tisdale is currently the longest serving manager in the Football League, having joined the St James's Park club in June 2006 and led to back-to-back promotion from the Conference to League One.
