Someone please name that tune

WHEN I was 12, I had to travel from school in Kingsteignton every Tuesday afternoon for my organ tuition at Exeter Cathedral.

When my organ lesson finished I wandered around to the Savoy Cinema to sit in the front row right behind the organ and waited for Harold Stringer to rise up majestically on the wonderful Compton organ to entertain the audience with his superb performances.

I was so thrilled by the sight of the illuminated console and the superb sounds coming from the Compton that I returned to the Savoy many times after my lesson at the cathedral.

Later I became organist at the Regal Cinema in Torquay, playing Saturday mornings for the ABC Minors and was also resident at the Odeon Cinema in Paignton.

I'm sure Harold Stringer was the main reason for my playing the organ professionally in several different cinemas and ballrooms.

But help! The number of times I heard Harold at the Savoy, I cannot remember his signature tune.

I'm sure many Exeter residents will have also been very excited to hear Harold play and someone may well remember his signature tune.

Please inform me! Thanks.
