A DRUGS mule has been jailed after being found with £700 worth of heroin and cocaine hidden inside his body when police raided an Exeter drugs den.
Jamie Lloyd, 28, brought the drugs from London to sell on the streets of the city and had gone to meet a group of drugs users when their home was searched by police.
The drugs were recovered after he was strip searched and taken to hospital because police suspected he may be a courier.
Lloyd, from Lambeth, London, admitted possession of heroin and cocaine with intent to supply and was jailed for two years by Recorder Paul Grumbar. He said: "I am prepared to treat you as someone who played a lesser role. However, you knew exactly what you were doing in going to this address with a substantial amount of class A drugs concealed inside you."
Janice Eagles, prosecuting, said police raided a house in Church Road, Exeter, in March because it was thought to be used for drug taking.
Sarah Hornblower, defending, said Lloyd had been introduced to drug taking at 13 and had run up debts to dealers.
