STAFF at Cavanna Homes have been introduced to their latest team members, Hippocampus Guttulatus and Darth Vader Gorilla.
The two life-size gorillas have been sponsored by the leading South West homebuilder as part of the The Great Gorilla Project, part of Paignton Zoo's 90th anniversary celebrations.
The Cavanna team jumped at the chance of sponsoring the celebrations because the event also coincides with the company's own 90th birthday this month.
Last week saw the launch of the 30-strong troop of individually decorated gorillas accompanied by 20 smaller sculptures, designed and painted by schools in Devon and Somerset, with a gorilla flotilla on the English Riviera where the gorillas began the journey to their final destinations by boat.
The gorillas in all of their glory will be situated in various locations in Exeter and Torbay from 1st August for members of the public to appreciate. Darth Vader can be found in Harlequins Shopping Centre in Exeter and Hippocampus Guttulatus is situated on Beacon Quay, Torquay (outside Living Coasts).
Local businesses were asked to sponsor the gorilla sculptures.
