34-year-old Lympstone woman found dead on rocks

Police are investigating after the body of a 34-year-old woman was found on rocks at the foot of cliffs at Lympstone. The woman, who is understood to be from Lympstone, was found at around 8pm last night on rocks slightly north of Darling's Rock. Exmouth coastguards and an Exmouth RNLI crew assisted police and paramedics with the incident. Her next-of-kin have been informed. Police are carrying out a routine investigation on behalf of the coroner but are not treating her death as suspicious. The woman's body was initially taken to Exmouth Lifeboat Station. A spokesperson from Exmouth Coastguard, said: "A full team was tasked to a report of a person at the foot of cliffs just north of Darling's Rock, Lympstone at 7.56pm. "As we arrived on the scene it was confirmed by paramedics and police that the person was deceased. "After police concluded their on-scene investigations and due to the state of the tide, we requested Exmouth inshore lifeboat to assist with the recovery of the deceased.
