MUSICIANS in Topsham have performed to talent scouts from BBC1 hit reality television show The Voice.
The mix of 11 singers performed to two representatives of the show at the Lord Nelson pub in the town on Tuesday evening.
Most of the singers also played the guitar and were asked to perform two to three songs, with at least one recognisable cover.
The singers chose songs by a range of artists including, Janis Joplin, Paolo Nutini, Bob Dylan, Rihanna, the Dixie Chicks and Bill Withers, and some also performed their own material.
The event attracted a crowd of around 60 people and lasted for around three hours until 9pm when the scouts are understood to have moved on to another pub in the Exeter.
The events, which have been set up at various city venues throughout the week, are part of grassroots level research for next year's show.
Martin Stork, Topsham resident and co-organiser of regular open mic and jam session TOPJAM, said: "It was fantastic, everyone performed really well."
