A lovely three-legged German Shepherd who has lost none of his zest for life is looking for someone who can love him for whatever time he has left. Rebel is a seven-year-old, sweet-faced, black and tan male whose right hind leg had to be amputated when he came into the RSPCA's care at the beginning of 2009 due to an old injury. He was happily rehomed but returned to the RSPCA's Little Valley Animal Shelter in Exeter recently through no fault of his own. Jo Evans, RSPCA deputy manager of Little Valley, said: "Rebel is a lovely dog and I would encourage anyone who is looking for a good companion to meet him – I am sure they will lose their hearts to him. "He now has arthritis in his remaining leg and we are not sure how long he will remain mobile but for the time-being he is full of life and can exercise well on soft ground for short periods. "We are happy to rehome him with another quiet dog, older children and possibly a cat and we will help with the cost of his pain relief medication if needed." If you think you can offer a good home to Rebel please call the dog team mobile which is manned between 11am and 4pm every day except Wednesday on 07748 629202.
