The fire service was called to rescue a horse stuck in a hedge in Exeter this afternoon.
A fire engine from Exeter and a special rescue vehicle was called to reports of a stuck in animal in St Thomas, Exeter.
Crews attended the scene on Hambeer Lane at 17:29 and found the horse has been sedated by a vet who was in attendance.
Firefighters used specialist animal equipment to release the horse from the hedge who was then left in the hands of the owner and the vet.
