Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale has called on his players to do all they can to help the club over the line and seal a League Two play-off place.
A 1-0 defeat to Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday made it three straight defeats for the Grecians, who travel to fellow promotion hopefuls Rotherham United tomorrow.
The Grecians will have to be considerably better than they were on Saturday if they are to achieve a result and their task is hindered by a chronic injury list depriving Tisdale of some key players right now.
"There is no point worrying too much about it. The players that are fit and available have to be primed as best they can for the next game, we are not at our best But things can change very quickly," Tisdale said.
"We have to get over the line. We have to scrap and find a way to do that. They scored a very good goal and we have to find a way of doing that ourselves.
"We didn't make collective decisions that had any togetherness about it, it was just disjointed.
"It's a time for making good decisions at the right time, but probably through effort and wanting to claw it back, we weren't doing that."
Exeter lost Kevin Amankwaah to injury inside the first minute on Saturday and conceded the only goal of the game when Scott Doe headed in on five minutes.
"It was disappointing," Tisdale said. "It has been a really bad week for us.
"It was by no means a strong performance. We started the game with a substitution in the first minute and it was just a very disjointed day again.
"I am desperate to get into the play-offs, but we are finding it very difficult at the minute, things have changed a lot of the last week. I am sure people are going away thinking that's it, it's all over but it's not. In the same way you have a day or two thinking we've made it, we are there, but you haven't then either.
"Today, we conceded an early goal and I would like to think we'd have got it back. It was a hard ask, the players put a lot of effort in, but the play was disjointed. Our decision-making was impaired by anxiety, frustration, panic and a bit of this and a bit of that.
"It will go to the last game, I am sure. It's not over and we go again at Rotherham on Tuesday and we will attack it in the best way we can."
Just who will be available to Tisdale remains to be seen. Top scorer Jamie Cureton also missed Saturday's game, but Tisdale hopes he will be fit for a first ever trip to the New York Stadium.
Tisdale added: "Jamie dropped out of the game and told me he was unavailable through injury. He didn't have a fitness test because he didn't think he was close enough, but hopefully he will be fit for Tuesday.
"Kevin has gone to hospital for an X-ray on his ankle and Steve Tully has a broken toe. I have to say, Aaron Dawson did very well coming on. But it's not the ideal start, is it?"
