Exeter has seen snow again today, in April.
Snow started falling in at roughly 3:00pm catching most of the city off-guard.
Clear skies were forecast for Exeter with thicker cloud and wintry showers towards the south and east of the region but gradually clearing overnight.
The snow showers hit London at around lunchtime today, while the Met Office has predicted light snow across the south east, East Anglia, the Midlands and as far west as Dorset, with the possibility of more snow throughout the day.
However, a Met Office forecaster said they are not expecting any snow to settle except on higher ground, and "perhaps a light dusting on grassy verges".
"As we're in April now, the strength of the sun means the ground temperatures will rise quite quickly, so we are not expecting any significant accumulations on the roads," said the forecaster.
Tonight will turn cold and frosty once again with clear spells, and the risk of some icy patches.
