Police are appealing for witnesses after around £1,000 worth of building materials were stolen from Cranbrook over the Easter weekend.
Between the evening of Thursday, March 28, and Monday, April 1, a large hoard of paving slabs, insulation sheets and bags of cement were stolen from a construction site at the development.
Investigating officer, PC Simon Aldred at Honiton CID said there had been numerous thefts of building materials and equipment over the last year and security measures had been stepped-up as a result.
"No vehicles should have been at the site over the bank holiday weekend," he said. "We would like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious vehicles or people, to contact us with any information that could help us with our enquiries. "It was a large amount and we suspect more than one person would have been involved."
Anyone with any information is urged to call the police on 101, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on, 0800 555111, quoting crime reference number, KO/13/175.
