Winners of the 20th Devon Environmental Business Initiative Awards have now been announced. The awards were handed out in a ceremony at the Met Office by Paul Turner, director of community and sustainable business at Lloyds Banking Group.
Winners were: Environmental Goods and Services, Large Business, and the overall winner – Naturalmat, Topsham. Environmental Goods & Services, Small Business – Fungi Futures, Dartington. Low Carbon Innovative Business – Carbon Compost Company, Exeter. Food, Farming, Community and Leisure – The Arundell Arms Hotel, Lifton.
Environmental Champion was Geoffrey Read of the Devon and Cornwall Food Association.
DEBI chairman Andy Vickery said: "This year's awards really reflected an impressive spectrum of businesses in Devon both small and large who are demonstrating true innovation with the environment and sustainability in mind."
